Happy Holidays!

I hope that everyone had a happy Thanksgiving yesterday. Often times we don't express our gratitude for all of the things that we are thankful for. We overlook them. Below is handful of things that I am grateful for.

1-Having a worthy priesthood holder for my husband. I am so grateful for him and the spirit that he brings to our family.

2-The Temple

3-Eternal Marriage

4-My Family. I am so blessed to be part of the family that I am and so blessed to have Jake's family as my family.

5-My home and car. I have been thinking a lot about those who are currently without . My brother Chris being one of them. I am so grateful to not have to live on the streets. To have the desire to not get in trouble. Chris has been on the streets most of his life. Either on the streets or in Jail. As much as I LOVE him and I do (that I don't express either to him often enough) I have tried to help him. I have tried to let him live with me on three different occasions. I just don't have what he needs. What that is I don't know and I pray that he will find that soon and get his life back together.

6-My job. I know.. I know. I complain about it almost daily. We are just in our busy time and it is just shall I say.. Hectic... at work. Give it two more months and it will be good again. Ok it is GOOD :) but not stressful :)

7-FANTASTIC Friends. I don't know what I would do without all of my (our) friends. I am so grateful for Bobi and Brian for being there to bring the Gospel into our home and for that wonderful July 3rd three years ago when we met Amy and Todd. I am so grateful for each of our other friend that we have also met. Sorry if I don't remember the day that I met you if you're not Amy and Todd :) Our friendshipversary is easy to remember because it is Todd's Birthday too :) Also the day before the 4th of July :) if you remember and want me to remember tell me and I will promise I will try to never forget :). Each one of our friends has an everlasting impact on our lives.

8-Callings at church. I am the 2nd counselor in the Primary and Jake is the Elders Quorum President. I have been in Primary about the last 6 months and Jake has been in the EQ for about the last year and the EQ President for about the last week. I have grown a love for the children in our Ward that I didn't think could possibly happen. With Jake's new calling. We shall see :) Since it is new we(him) don't really have any idea what it entails.

Thanks for everything that each one of you do for us :) If you're a stranger thanks for being you :)

Oh yeah! I got the best mail today! Check out my mess! I wasn't feeling very well today so I was up taking a nap and then Zoey started barking and I got upset LOL I was trying to sleep. Then my doorbell rang and I ran to see who it was and it was boxes and boxes for me! 5 boxes to be exact. Now I have some boxes that I can put some Christmas Presents in that needed bigger boxes!

Here is what my boxes were full of :)

I have wanted the willow tree Nativity for so long and I was able to get it for 25% off so I took the plunge since we have a little extra money and got it! I LOVE IT! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful, memorable Holiday season :)

What a sweet post. Sometimes it can be so easy to focus on the negatives yet there's SO SO much to be grateful for. Tell Jake congrats on his calling! (or condolences. . . :) We miss you guys! Hopefully you'll still be there when we come back in just 2 1/2 years! :) Have a happy holiday season!
