Remembering Misty

How can you forget such a great person? The answer is you can't. Times may be difficult or sad but, that’s when we always remember the good times we shared with those we lost. Misty was a master of making memories. To me, I have never met anyone better at it then Misty. Sometimes just touching the side of her face and she would return a smile that would just pierce deep into my soul. Misty is my soul mate, Webster’s dictionary defines soul mate as: "a person who is perfectly suited to another in temperament" I would define it as: Pure Love.

Misty has taught me that our love extends beyond death. Our Heavenly Father taught me that I can remain with Misty and Lucas as a family forever. "It just wouldn't be heaven without them." My wife and I have been through a ton of heart ache together. Every time we needed each other, we were there. I was able to stand when I had no strength. At times when I feel I have lost everything, I feel her there to remind me that all that was lost will be restored through our kind and loving Savior Jesus Christ. I hope that the day that I meet him, the first words out of my mouth are not "I am sorry" but "Thank you."

I know that I have been giving much, and I to must give. My wife will always be an inspiration to me she had made a difference in my life as well as yours. Let the love of Christ fill our hearts with joy for Misty and our son Lucas in remembering them. "Sunday will come"

That was very touching Jake.Misty will NEVER be forgotten by anyone that ever came into contact with her. She is and was such a special person that could light up any room she was in. She spoke her mind and stood up for what she belived in, two of the many things that i admired in her. I am so happy that you can find peace within your religion and you WILL be with Misty and Lucas again. It will be a long hard road but completely worth it. We really are here for you, for anything. Maybe we can scrapbook sometime lol :) I love you Jake and your family is always on my mind.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Jake. I know that right now is difficult. We are here for you. I know that you leaned on Misty as she leaned on you. I know that as you keep leaning on the Lord, He will bless you with the comfort that you seek. Remember that there are those around you here that you can lean on as well. We pray for you.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing you and Misty in real life. But through your writings, I feel that I know you both and the true love you had for eachother. What a blessing. Misty touched many hearts, I loved reading her posts on 2p's. I will continue to pray for you. I admire your strength and your writings of Misty and Lucas touch my heart. Love in Christ. Take care Jake.

Jake, you are just an inspiration to me. Misty was an amazing person and truly can't be forgotten. She was one of the most Christ-like people I've ever met. Truly my hero in so many ways. I know you will be with her and Lucas again some day. You are in my prayers.... let me know if you need anything.

Knowing both you and Misty has had a profound impact on my life, and the way I live it, Jake. I guess Misty and I were soul mates as friends too, because we were perfectly suited to each other in temperament. I miss her terribly, every single day, so I can only imagine how much more you do. I am thankful beyond my ability to express it, that you found the Gospel and were able to make your marriage an eternal one in the temple.

you have such a beautiful testimony Jake. I have been thinking alot about you and misty and your little baby boy and my heart aches for you. Misty was the sweetest, friendliest, energetic, loving, and enjoyable person to be around. I truly loved knowing her. I know that she is happy with your Lucus right now and waiting for the day you will all be joined again. Maybe she can get Lucus and my baby Taylor together for a play date up there since I cant be there for my baby yet :) I will continue to pray for you as you work through your grief. You are amazing Jake, so strong.
